Kiefer & Kiefer obtained a Preliminary Injunction last week in Civil District Court on behalf of Judge Christopher Bruno against his election opponent, Jennifer Medley and her campaign.
Under cross-examination by Megan Kiefer, Mr. Bruno’s opponent admitted that the hit piece she planned to release against Judge Bruno was false. She further admitted that she filed pleadings in Civil District Court that were false.
WDSU reported the following statement:
“She lied to the Civil District Court when she said that at no point prior to us filing for the TRO did she get notice of it,” said Megan Kiefer. “The most significant question to the people of New Orleans is on November 3 do they want to elect a person who already lied under oath to the court that she wants to sit on.”
We encourage our friends, family, and clients to take back our elections – especially our judicial elections – and to hold candidates accountable by demanding honesty and truthfulness in advertisements and statements. We should expect integrity from our judges.
