Nat G. Kiefer, Jr. is the senior partner and senior trial attorney at Kiefer & Kiefer. With decades of experience in personal injury trial litigation, Nat represents injured individuals as well as insurance companies.

In his 44 year career, Nat has successfully litigated over 200 trials. He has litigated multiple personal injury cases resulting in the collection of over 150 million for clients. During his early career, he has also successfully represented insurance companies, which allows him to offer his personal injury clients a unique perspective on their cases. Since 1987, Nat has mediated over 700 personal injury cases.

Nat has been named one of the top lawyers in the New Orleans area by numerous publications. He has attained the highest possible peer rating of AV in both legal ability and ethical standards by Martindale-Hubbell.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Nat graduated at the top of his class from Tulane University Law School, where he served on the Moot Court Board and was a member of the Order of the Coif. After his graduation, Nat worked at a top defense firm before joining his father’s firm in 1984.

Nat learned so much about life and the law from his late father, State Senator Nat G. Kiefer, who was both a successful trial attorney and dedicated public servant. After his father’s death in 1985, Nat took over the family firm and built it into the highly respected trial litigation firm it is today. He carries on the family tradition with his brother, Kris, and his daughter, Megan, with whom he is proud to provide clients with excellent and highly competent legal representation. Most of all, he is proud to use the family firm atmosphere to represent clients, who they also treat as family.

A proud father and grandfather, Nat uses his spare time to mentor young lawyers and young athletes.

He has taught trial advocacy programs at both Tulane and Loyola Law school, and he is a volunteer basketball and baseball coach in the local community. He has coached at Pontiff playground and AAU basketball. Many of his mentees have gone on to achieve great success, even playing in the NBA, college teams, and the Major Leagues. He is a proud father and grandfather.
