Chris Short is a partner at Kiefer & Kiefer who focuses on personal injury and insurance defense.

Chris’s litigation experience includes criminal and domestic matters, oral argument in district courts across the state, as well as judge and jury trials.

No two injury cases are the same, and Chris views every case as a learning opportunity. He finds it a privilege to be able to represent both major insurance companies and injured individuals. This diverse client base helps Chris and his team to stay grounded and to look at each case from multiple perspectives.

Before joining Kiefer & Kiefer, Chris served as law clerk to the Honorable Judge Raymond Steib Jr., of the 24th JDC. His many years of experience with the Judge provided him with a wealth of litigation insight, as well as a unique perspective on effective and efficient client representation. Chris also worked at Martzell, Bickford & Centola, where he took part in high profile personal injury cases, including a death case stemming from Deep Water Horizon.

Chris serves as a Board Member for the Pro Bono Project. He has also served as a committee member and sub-chair for the Justice for All Ball. Chris’ pro bono work includes criminal, domestic, landlord tenant, and general business disputes.

Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tulane Law School, where he also served as Senior Associate Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.
Outside of the office, Chris is an avid sportsman. He enjoys spending time outside and lives with his wife, Jess, in Broadmoor.
