He also served as a state court judge for 12 years. Throughout his career, he has handled more than 12,000 contested matters and more than 1,490 trials.
Chris believes in justice and the right of every person to receive it. He was inspired to become a lawyer after watching his father treat all participants in the judicial system with respect and dignity, regardless of their status in society or how much money they had – and he vowed to do the same.
After graduating from Tulane University Law School, Chris developed an illustrious career as a legal advocate. He quickly became known as a formidable adversary and garnered respect from the legal community by zealously representing clients.
Chris was appointed by the Louisiana Supreme Court as Judge Pro Tempore in 2004. In 2009, he was honored to be elected by his constituents and began his judicial career as a Division F Judge of the Civil District Court Orleans Parish. He was later elected as the Chief Judge of the Civil District Court.
